Neoclarityn tablets 5mg Why do I need this medicine? Desloratadine helps to relieve symptoms of cold and allergy, such as runny nose, itch, watery eyes and sneezing. It also helps relieve allergic skin conditions such as hives, itchy rash due to insect bites or chicken pox.
Desloratadine belongs to a group of medicines called antihistamines.

Directions
How do I take this medicine? Take Desloratadine exactly as directed by your doctor. Do not take more or less than instructed by your doctor.
You may take Desloratadine with or without food. Take it with a full glass of water.
You may stop taking Desloratadine once you feel better, unless your doctor has instructed you otherwise. What should I do if I have forgotten to take this medicine? Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and return to your normal schedule.
DO NOT double a dose under any circumstances. Can I take this with other medicines? Alert your doctor if you are taking any of these medicines:
- mood medicines or sleeping pills
- other medicines for allergy
- antibiotics such as erythromycin
Always inform your doctor and pharmacist if you are taking any other medicines, including herbal tonics, supplements and medicines that you buy without a prescription. How should I store this medicine? Store in a cool, dry place away from the reach of children.
The syrup should be protected from light.
Medicines must not be used past the expiry date.

Warnings
When should I not use this medicine? Alert your doctor if you have glaucoma, asthma, stomach or intestinal ulcers, prostate problems or difficulty in urination.
Alert your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not breastfeed while you are on Desloratadine.
Do not give Desloratadine to premature and newborn babies or children below 6 months.
Do not give Desloratadine to any child unless advised by the child's doctor or a pharmacist. What should I take note of while taking this medicine? Alert your doctor if you have the following conditions: epilepsy, overactive thyroid gland, high blood pressure, heart, liver, kidney or lung disease.
Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking anxiety medicines, sleeping pills or antidepressants. Are there any restrictions on the type of food I can take? Avoid alcohol.

Side Effects
Rarely, Desloratadine may cause drowsiness or dizziness. If you feel drowsy or dizzy, do not drive or take part in any activity in which you need to be alert.
Desloratadine may also cause headache, tiredness, stomach discomfort, nausea or dry mouth.
Alert your doctor if the symptoms are severe or refuse to go away.
