Clarityn allergy tablets 10mg 7 pack Why do I need this medicine? Loratadine helps to relieve symptoms of cold and allergy, such as runny nose, itch, watery eyes and sneezing. It also helps relieve allergic skin conditions such as hives, itchy rash due to insect bites or chicken pox.
Loratadine belongs to a group of medicines called antihistamines.

Directions
How do I take this medicine? Take Loratadine exactly as directed by your doctor. Do not take more or less than instructed by your doctor.
You may take Loratadine with or without food.
You may stop taking Loratadine once you feel better, unless your doctor has instructed you otherwise. What should I do if I have forgotten to take this medicine? Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and return to your normal schedule.
DO NOT double a dose under any circumstances. Can I take this with other medicines? Alert your doctor if you are taking any of these medicines:
- antifungal medicines such as ketoconazole
- antibiotics such as erythromycin
- mood medicines or sleeping pills
- other medicines for allergy
- medicines for AIDS (HIV)
Always inform your doctor and pharmacist if you are taking any other medicines, including herbal tonics, supplements and medicines that you buy without a prescription. How should I store this medicine? Store in a cool, dry place away from the reach of children.
Medicines must not be used past the expiry date.

Warnings
When should I not use this medicine? Alert your doctor if you have glaucoma, asthma, stomach or intestinal ulcers, prostate problems or difficulty in urination.
Alert your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not breastfeed while you are on Loratadine.
Do not give Loratadine to premature and newborn babies or children below 2 years old.
Do not give Loratadine to any child unless advised by the child's doctor or a pharmacist. What should I take note of while taking this medicine? Alert your doctor if you have the following conditions: epilepsy, overactive thyroid gland, high blood pressure, heart, liver, kidney or lung disease.
Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking anxiety medicines, sleeping pills or antidepressants. Are there any restrictions on the type of food I can take? Avoid alcohol.

Side Effects
What side effects could I experience? Rarely, Loratadine may cause dizziness or drowsiness. If you feel dizzy or drowsy, do not drive or take part in any activity in which you need to be alert.
Loratadine may also cause mood changes, headache, tiredness, muscle weakness, stomach discomfort and dry mouth.
Alert your doctor if the above symptoms are severe or refuse to go away.
